DESCRIPTION:We are sorry to report that this major national event has had to be cancelled due to their venue being affected by COVID-19 prevention actions. Hopefully you’ll be able to come and celebrate the banjo\, mandolin & guitar at the Festival another time! \nThe Banjo Mandolin Guitar Federation Festival is a major national event for all who play plucked string instruments and attracts players from across the UK. \nThere are concerts\, a full day of workshops\, a full day of solo\, small group and orchestral contests\, plus an opportunity to socialise with other like minded players over the weekend. This is the first time this bi-ennial event has been held in Edinburgh. \nClosing dates for the contests is 31 December 2019. Closing date for booking workshops is 29 February 2020. \nHosted by the Edinburgh Mandolin & Guitar Orchestra (EMGO)\, the BMG Federation Committee and EMGO hope that as many orchestras\, groups and individual players will support the Festival which will be in Edinburgh for the first time in the Federation’s history
