DESCRIPTION:A concert featuring winners & finalists of the BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year Competition from 2025. \nFor over 20 years\, the Traditional Music & Song Association of Scotland (TMSA) have been bringing together these groups of outstanding young musicians to create a unique mix of new material and innovative arrangements of traditional tunes & songs. \nParticipants are: 2025 winner: Ellie Beaton (Voice\, Aberdeenshire); Clelland Shand (Accordion\, Fife); Laura Penman (Clarsach\, Edinburgh); Miguel Girão (Guitar – Portugal/Scotland); Noah Scott (Piano – France/Scotland); Roo Geddes (Fiddle\, Glasgow). \nThe support in the first half of the concert is a snapshot of up-and-coming artists who have featured recently as ‘Young Champions’ in TMSA competitions and events around Scotland.
