DESCRIPTION:‘…something out of the ordinary’ The Herald \nWelcome! Velkommen! Tervetuloa! Heisan! Välkommen! Velkominn! \nNorthern Streams is In its 21st (+2) year: \nArtists that have been invited to take part are: \n\nCuan a Tuath is a Glasgow-based band mixing Highland Strathspeys and Reels with traditional Swedish songs & polskas. They are Séamus Ó Baoighill (fiddle & pipes)\, Kristina Leesik (vocals & fiddle) & Dan Brown (piano) and won a Danny Kyle award at Celtic Connections 2025.\nOuti Karhu – Finnish singer and musician with the Glasgow’n Laulu Finnish Women’s Choir she leads\nChristine Kammerer – with her new research into earliest intersections of Celtic & Scandinavian cultures as talk and performance\n\n\nJoss Cameron – award winning singer hailing from Leith – with a traveller background with songs and stories of the sea.\n\n\n\nThe full programme of concerts\, ceilidh\, workshops and sessions is currently being finalised and is expected to be up on the website http://www.northernstreams.org by the end of February/beginning of March.\n\nAll events take place at The Scottish Storytelling Centre\, 43-45 High Street\, Royal Mile\, Edinburgh EH1 1SR \n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe outline Festival programme is: \nFriday 17 April \n7.00pm Evening Concert 7.00-9.30pm \nSaturday 18 April \nWorkshops: 10.30am-5pm \n7.00-10.30pm Evening Concert & Ceilidh \nSunday 19 April\n2-5pm Open Music & Song Session – FREE entry
