Tutor: Penny Stone
Queen Margaret Hall, Blackness Road, Linlithgow, EH49 7JA
An event for community singing groups and for individual singers, including morning and afternoon workshops, a performance platform and a short concert from our tutor.
All welcome, from the beginner to the experienced performer – no need to be able to read music.
Our tutor, Penny Stone, is a community musician and songleader with wide experience in working with open access community singing groups and radical music groups. She helps to free people’s voices through listening, singing, campaigning and writing. Penny will share a smörgåsbord of songs from local and global musical traditions, alongside some of her own songs written for group harmony singing. Themes of freedom, light and nature will thread through the day, with a dash of silliness as well. Penny believes that everyone can sing, and all voices are welcome.
