Taking inspiration from the former Highland Traditional Music Festival, the new Dingwall Music and Book Festival runs from 27–30 August as part of the Dingwall 800 celebrations. Across four days, 28 events will celebrate local music, heritage, and literature. Highlights include workshops with Lauren MacColl, Fionnag NicChoinnich, and Deiseil, a performance by Mike Vass, talks by Margaret Bennett, and a line-up featuring Dòchas, Eadarainn, and Cluich Rois. Kelso Folk Festival
