Celtic Connections TMSA 60th Anniversary — Concert
17 January, 2026 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm
Celebrating 60 years of Scotland’s Traditional Music and Song Association of Scotland (TMSA).
In 2026, the Traditional Music & Song Association of Scotland (TMSA) proudly celebrates 60 years of bringing people together through the rich and vibrant traditions of Scottish music and song.
From local gatherings to international stages, the TMSA has created countless opportunities for everyone, from curious beginners to seasoned tradition bearers, to connect, share, and pass on the living heritage of Scotland’s musical soul.
What began with a single festival in Blairgowrie has blossomed into a movement rooted in community, carried by the voices, tunes, and stories of those who’ve kept the tradition alive across generations.
Hosted by Sheena Wellington and Margaret Bennett, join us on a journey through the decades, honouring the singers, musicians, and behind-the-scenes champions who have inspired, taught, and uplifted. Other performers will include Aileen Carr, Annie Reid, Arthur Watson, Barbara Dymock, Bob Knight, Brian Miller, Danny Coupar, Dougie Mackenzie, Helen Forbes (from the Foundry Band), Ian & Hamish MacGregor (from the Stewart family of Blair). Iona Fyfe, Janice Reavell, Janet Weatherston, Jimmy Hutchison, Joss Cameron (relative of Jeannie Robertson), Kay Thomson, Kenny Hadden, Maggie Macrae, Nigel Gatherer and Pete Shepheard. Celebrate the legacy, the people, and the passion that continue to shape the TMSA today.
Why not make it a full evening and go to the House of Song from 10.30pm at the Novotel Pitt Street, Glasgow until 1am!
