Celtic Connections TMSA Scots Women—Generations o’ Change—Concert

Back in 2001, the first Scots Women concert at Celtic Connections showcased folk singing in both Scots, English and Gaelic. More than twenty years on, the TMSA are celebrating both the original singers, and a newer generation of Scottish female folksingers with a collaborative performance of songs – a capella and accompanied by the house band. The concert will feature Sheena Wellington, Corrina Hewat, Aileen Carr, Elspeth Cowie, Chris Miles, Amy Lord, Claire Hastings, Natalie Chalmers, Ellie Beaton, Tripple (Cit & Annie Lennox and Jill Andrews), along with Iona Fyfe as Musical Director and Scots Poet – Len Pennie – as MC.
