Oban International Shanty Festival 2021 Online

Circumstances have given us the opportunity for another great night of Sea Songs and Stories ‘At Home’. Get your tickets from Eventbrite for the Saturday Evening Concert on Saturday 5th June 2021 at 19:15 (7:15pm) with its stellar crew of Shanty Bands and Singers, coming to you virtually from beautiful Oban on the West Coast of Scotland. You’ll get the link just before the concert.

And after the concert, for those with a ticket, there’ll be the chance to belt out your own versions of the shanties at the after-concert Singaround.

But we have also commissioned three great educators, story-tellers and musicians to present a workshop for all you budding Shanty -men and -women to learn about life on board the tall ships in A Sea Shanty Primer with Talitha MacKenzie about the women who terrified the sailors sailing the seas (and cruising the dockside pubs!) in Pirate Queens and She-Shanties with Jan Bee Brown, and Come Aboard to Learn a Shanty with Harry Campbell to learn some shanties (for a performance that night?).
