TMSA 60th Anniversary Patrons Concert

We are continuing to celebrate our 60th anniversary including with a Patrons Concert on Saturday 22 August at Perth Concert Hall from 7.30pm!
In 2026, the Traditional Music & Song Association of Scotland (TMSA) proudly celebrates 60 years of bringing people together through the rich and vibrant traditions of Scottish music and song. From local gatherings to international stages, the TMSA has created countless opportunities for everyone, from curious beginners to seasoned tradition bearers, to connect, share, and pass on the living heritage of Scotland’s musical soul.
What began with a single festival in Blairgowrie has blossomed into a movement rooted in community, carried by the voices, tunes, and stories of those who’ve kept the tradition alive across generations.
A patron of the TMSA, Barbara Dickson has had a stellar international career but has always stayed in touch with her folk music roots. She will take to the Perth Concert Hall stage to celebrate the TMSA’s 60th Birthday along with two other TMSA Patrons – Sheena Wellington and Margaret Bennett.
They will be joined by a group of musical friends, young and not so young including renowned traditional singers, Natalie Chalmers, Scott Gardiner, Jimmy Hutchison, Jack Beck and Geordie Murison, lan & Hamish MacGregor, accordionist Clelland Shand (recent winner of the Martyn Bennett Scholarship), Neil Sutcliffe, Eoin Taylor, Roo Geddes and other special guests.
Celebrate the legacy, the people, and the passion that continues to shape the TMSA today.
Tickets (including the £2.50 booking fee) are full price £30 and concessions £27 (Over 60/Disabled/Unwaged/Students/Young Scot Cardholders/Under 26s;
