Fringe Ceilidhs at Royal College of Physicians
Ceilidhs most evenings during the Festival, in the elegant historic venue in the heart of Edinburgh's New Town, with caller Ken Gourlay and ceilidh band. Soft drinks and alcohol available, all dances walked through and called. Good exercise and great fun!

Fresh Ayr is a brand-new folk festival set to take place in Ayr’s Rozelle Park in August 2023. The exciting three-day event will showcase an array of incredible live entertainment, family-friendly activities, fantastic food and drinks and top of the range camping facilities. Ticket holders will be able to enjoy a world-class line-up of entertainment from some of the UK’s top musical acts, alongside incredible emerging talent. Over 25 world-class artists will perform across the weekend.

The World Pipe Band Championships as we currently know them have been staged since 1947 although the Grade 1 Pipe Band Competition winners at the annual Cowal Highland Gathering were recognised as World Champions as far back as 1906. The Worlds now regularly attracts hundreds of bands with more than a quarter coming from overseas. The event regularly receives entries from 15 or more countries. The record entry is 239 bands.
