Shetland Arts Fiery Sessions 2023
Fiery Sessions is back! The popular annual concert showcases Shetland musical talent on Lerwick’s Up Helly Aa day, and is back again in full form after the pandemic. Featuring local favourites including the 2022 Young Fiddler of the Year and a visit from the Junior Jarl Squad at the 3pm performance. Line-up includes: Lomond Ceilidh Band; CRAC; Ewen, Martha & Harry Thomson; Kirrmirren; With Andy Kain as compere.

The Scottish Fiddle Orchestra—Perth Concert
Following a fantastic show last February, the SFO returns to Perth Concert Hall with a lively programme of traditional Scottish music - reels, strathspeys, jigs, marches & slow airs awaits, all performed by wonderful musicians, supported by mezzo soprano Colette Ruddy and the pipe band of the RAF Central Scotland.

Muckle sangs is the Scots term for ballads. The Muckle Sing is a very special day for community singing groups and individual singers, including morning & afternoon workshops, a final performance & short concert from guest tutor Jo Miller. All are welcome—from the beginner to the experienced performer—and no need to be able to read music. Inverness Festival’s motto is ‘Performance for Everyone‘. The festival strives to find performance opportunities for all ages and all stages of amateur performers, both competitive and non-competitive.
