EFC’s 21st Annual Carrying Stream Lecture, in Memory of Hamish Henderson—’Who’s Listening?’
'Who's Listening?' is the title of this year's annual Carrying Stream Lecture, presented by Edinburgh Folk Club, and delivered by Tom McKean, director of the Elphinstone Institute at the University of Aberdeen and a former student of Hamish Henderson. Distil Showcase is back! For the first time since before lockdown Mr McFall’s Chamber and traditional musicians Sophie Joint, Beccy Hill, Calum McIllroy, Neil Sutcliffe, Lorne MacDougall, Claire Gullan, Andrew Herrington and Emma Tomlinson will be getting together to perform brand new music written by musicians who have participated in Hands Up for Trad’s Distil Project. The Islay Sessions is a folk festival based on the Isle of Islay, featuring a weekend of concerts from some of Scotland's finest traditional folk musicians.
