The Scottish Fiddle Orchestra’s Hogmanay Celebration
The beloved Scottish Fiddle Orchestra will make a long-awaited return to live indoor performance with a special Hogmanay Celebration at Edinburgh's Usher Hall on Thursday 30th December! The 80-strong flock of fiddlers and other musicians will be joined by mezzo soprano Colette Ruddy and conductor Blair Parham for an unforgettable evening of festive entertainment. The Hogmanay Celebration starts at 7.30pm on Saturday 30 December. Friends of Wighton Lunchtime Recital
The Lunchtime Recital on Wednesday 2nd February, 1.15pm -1.45pm will be given by mother and daughter duo MoragAnne Elder and Elisabeth Flett, playing fiddles and singing a selection of tunes to do with winter and the North. Both, of course, are long time friends of the Wighton—MoragAnne currently running the mixed instruments class and Essa has grown up coming to Wighton classes; her musical career is followed with great interest and pride.
