Edinburgh Tradfest—Digital Festival

Because of the ongoing situation with the Covid pandemic the 2021 festival will be entirely digital and feature as many of those musicians originally scheduled for 2020. The Fetsival will feature two unique online concerts and nine podcasts. All the musicians taking part at this year’s festival have been carefully selected from the very best tradition-bearers in Scotland and around the world.

Sandy Brechin is one of Scotland’s best known accordionists, famous for his lightning-fast playing and hilarious on-stage humour. He has developed his own unique approach to the art of accordion playing and his innovative style is instantly recognisable: a combination of slick, incredibly fast finger-work on the melody and a revolutionary method of syncopation on the bass.
