Grow Your Own Music Session

Thanks to funding from The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo Youth Talent Development Fund, administered by Creative Scotland, the TMSA initiated a programme supporting young musicians in establishing traditional music sessions in local venues, with an aim to encourage long-running events, diversifying local culture and promoting traditional music across the country.

Musicians received support to host approximately ten sessions in their area as well as a bursary to participate in training with leading musicians in the field.

Sessions have been run in Glasgow, Inverness and Dundee, and the project is ongoing. You can find out more at the project website here.
