Celtic Connections – TMSA Young Trad Tour 2025 Concert

A concert featuring a selection of winners and finalists of the BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year Competition from 2023 and 2024. For over 20 years, the  TMSA has been bringing together these groups of outstanding young musicians to create a unique mix of new material and innovative arrangements of traditional tunes and songs.

Featuring 2022 winner Eryn Rae, 2023 participants: Aidan Moodie, Amy Laurenson (2023 Winner), Madeleine Stewart, Mairi McGillivray, Sam Mabbett and 2024 participants: John Dew, Ruairidh Iain Gray, Evie Waddell, Matt Tighe, Ella Munro and Calum McIlroy (2020, & 2024 Winner)

This ‘supergroup’ is being co-ordinated by Innes Watson (a well-known musician and previous accompanist for the TMSA Young Trad Tour project). As well as performing at Celtic Connections, a tour is planned to visit various locations around the country during 2025-6.
