Northern Streams is In its 21st (+2) year:
Artists that have been invited to take part are:
Cuan a Tuath is a Glasgow-based band mixing Highland Strathspeys and Reels with traditional Swedish songs & polskas. They are Séamus Ó Baoighill (fiddle & pipes), Kristina Leesik (vocals & fiddle) & Dan Brown (piano) and won a Danny Kyle award at Celtic Connections 2025.
Outi Karhu – Finnish singer and musician with the Glasgow’n Laulu Finnish Women’s Choir she leads
Christine Kammerer – with her new research into earliest intersections of Celtic & Scandinavian cultures as talk and performance
Joss Cameron – award winning singer hailing from Leith – with a traveller background with songs and stories of the sea.
The full programme of concerts, ceilidh, workshops and sessions is currently being finalised and is expected to be up on the website http://www.northernstreams.org by the end of February/beginning of March.
